Acorns have long been a food staple of Northern Hemisphere peoples for whom gathering and preparing them was an important task. Join native plant expert Orchid Black as she presents valuable information on this highly nutritious food. Acorns are the only carbohydrates easily found in nature. We will identify best oak species for food and storage, leach and grind flour, and eat delicious acorn cornbread. Learn how to use this free food that drops around us every year!
